Bay Area is the birthplace of Desi Hip Hop. It gave birth to what is now a whole new genre of music. In this post, I describe it not only as just a genre of music but as an identifier of south Asian culture. It showcases the grit, perseverance and the ability of south asians to make something out of seemingly nothing. What could be more hip hop than that?
